Scottish singer Morag McLaren has performed in a wide variety of opera, musicals and music theatre productions, as well as her acclaimed one woman shows, concerts and recordings.
Her credits include: Carlotta in Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre London; Mrs Segstrom in Royal National Theatre’s production of A Little Night Music; Mother and Witch in Hansel & Gretel for Welsh National Opera; Lucy in Threepenny Opera for Scottish Opera; Good Wife and Maid in Opera Circus’s Shameless. She is a Member of Opera improvisation group Impropera which tours internationally. She played Dorothy Fields in Dorothy Fields: Rhythm of Life (Edinburgh) and was principal woman in Tomfoolery and Dinah in Trouble in Tahiti. She appeared as Lola Blau in Georg Kreisler’s Tonight: Lola Blau at the New End Theatre Hampstead. Morag presented The Song Tree for BBC Radio 3.
She has released three solo CD’s (I Never Do Anything Twice; Nobody Does It Like Me – A Tribute to Dorothy Fields; Tonight : Lola Blau). She features in the Royal Natioanl Theatre cast recording of A Little Night Music and Brett Kahr’s Dangerous Cabaret album.
